LPG gate

We saw this really interesting house while we were driving home from Bataan this weekend.  I asked Erman to stop the car so I could go down and take pictures :)
The gate is made of empty LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) tanks fused together.  I wonder how the owner came up with this concept.  It is so cool!
Up close
The tanks look as if they are floating!
I noticed a lot of other unique materials used in the house.  Check out the old lamp post and the hanging LPG tank bell.  There is also a cement pipe and an umbrella made from scrap metal.
The security guard went out to talk to me while I was taking pictures.  I kept asking him about the tanks the place but he just shrugged and said that it was a private residence.  I hope I could take a look at what's inside next time :)

  2. There's a guy at the Maryland Renaissance Faire who makes bells and other artwork out of old tanks. He had all kinds of bells in his booth when I went there last year. It was so cool!
