I love curry puff :) Actually, it's very similar to our empanadas except for the flavor in the filling and sometimes the texture of the crust. I am still in the search for the best curry puff here in Singapore but I think the one I tried at the Hong Lim Food Center was pretty good. The filling was just right for me- not too spicy. The crust was thick and cripy (but was a little too oily in my opinion)

rolled up flour

potato filling, flour and hot oil

forming the curry puffs by hand (if you look closely, the woman is giving me the evil eye!)

ReplyDeletemy best bet is the one along killeney road in Somerset. It's a Malay food stall just across the Singtel office.
maybe having people watch her work ruins her pastry-making concentration. hehe.
