My cup of tea

I LOVE tea.  I think I'm a bit of a tea addict since I drink around 5-7 cups a day :)  I usually like it plain... just hot water + Lipton tea bag or loose tea leaves but when I want something special I make my own special concoction.
All you need are the following: hot water, fresh Tarragon leaves, lemon or calamansi and 1 Lipton Yellow Label teabag.  It's very simple yet the flavors are amazing!
First step: pour hot water over the fresh Tarragon leaves and let it steep for a few minutes.
Make sure that you add your Lipton teabag when the water is still hot :)
Add a lemon slice or squeeze a calamasi for that extra zing!
Mix sugar or any sweetener you prefer (I use cocosugar since it has low Glycemic Index - perfect for folks watching their sugar intake)
And that is it!  Simple, huh?  I guess good tea doesn't really have to be complicated :)  This concoction is perfect to drink after a long work day since Tarragon has a very soothing effect.
Time to enjoy my "Yellow Tarragon" tea!

Cat VS. Mountain Lion!

I just saw this on the news today!
SO thankful we do not have Mountain Lions roaming around where we live.  Don't get me wrong, Mountain Lions are beautiful creatures but I'm sure Nugget wouldn't fare well against one (he'd most likely be gobbled up! huhuhu)
I mean, just look at that lazy log.  I bet Kumo would be able to escape though since he is lightning fast.
Luckily, Zeus the cat was able to survive the ordeal...  Thanks to that glass door!  Btw, the Mountain Lion looks so cute in this photo :D  You can watch the video over at Fox News

Christmas ornaments are here!

After almost a month of waiting the ceramic Christmas ornaments I ordered from Artscow are here!  Most of the photos are of my niece since I am giving these as a birthday gift to my sister-in-law.  I'm so glad they arrived just in time for the Christmas season :)
The image quality is good enough although there was print that came out a bit blurred.  Not so sure what happened there since all the photos I uploaded were high res.
I'm replacing the default red ribbon to a metal chain with glass beads to make them look more festive.  Looking forward to seeing these on their Christmas tree :)

Stranded

Cats, dogs and chickens on top of a roof!  It's quite strange to see all these animals together but I guess they have no where to go :(  Not sure if the flood has subsided as of now, but I really hope that things are a lot better for all the flood victims- both humans and animals.

Anyway, reposting this message for PAWS:

"We would like to ask for cat and dog food donations for the animals affected by the flooding caused by Typhoons Pedring and Quiel. Donations can be brought to the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC) during office hours: Mondays to Saturdays (except holidays), 10am-5pm. For commuting tips to PARC: http://parc.mefindhome.org/

Please call 475-1688 during PAWS office hours or email philpaws@yahoo.com for further info.

Please feel free to repost to help spread the word. "
