Things that make me happy

Thoughts of "bearding" my cats.  You might be wondering what I talking about...  and what exactly is bearding?  Haha!  Just take a look at the hilarious photo below.

Things that make me happy

It's another Friday!  3 days to go 'till Meow day! Woot.  I'm so excited!  Tomorrow I am having an early celebration with my family at home and I am making a salmon cake :D  Salmon cake?  I know it sounds weird but I'll tell you more about it soon :D

Anyway, here is another random list (and photos) of the things that make me happy. March has been really awesome to meow.  I feel a bit sad that my favorite month is almost over.

Lucky days.  I won tickets to see a movie and won a phone in the raffle!  Double win :D  Hope we will all have many lucky days ahead.  Happy weekend folks!

Awesome family vacation

Last year I was able to go back to Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar - but this time with my mom and siblings :)  We had a great time looking at all the old houses and just hanging out.  Hope to have more family vacations this year.

Potato skins at Meat Plus in Subic!  Too bad that the place is 3 hours away :(  We have to go back soon!

Finding secret messages

I randomly picked up and opened this book during one of our library visits to Bataan. Inside I found this very touching note

"Matthew, I love you with all my heart.  I think about you all the time.  I miss you my boy.

My good friend Jovan invited me to face paint at the hospital Christmas party where I met a lot of wonderful people and stormtroopers!

and finally receiving our Wedding book!  It traveled all the way from Malaysia.  Btw, our wedding was also featured on Bridal Book the other day :D  I can't believe that we'll be celebrating our first anniversary next month.  Time is so fast!

Circles

I found this book I made several years ago while clearing my cabinet.

I'm not really sure why I made it.  I guess it's one of those random meow things :)

It's really tiny - measuring at 1 x 1.5 inches.  Can you guess what I put inside?

Circles!  Yes, that is why the book's title is "Circles" :D  I remember that this was the time when I was very happy with my newly acquired circle puncher.

A circle with circles inside!  It's 13 pages of assorted circles.  Yes I know the whole thing is a bit silly :D  But finding this book made my day!  I am now recalling all the funny things I used to make. 

Maybe I should make another one but this time with squares! :D  Happy Sunday, folks!

Shells, Sea grass and Surfing

The next day we went to another beach that had bigger waves.  Siargao is a popular surf spot and my friend wanted to take a crash course on surfing... and it was a real "crash" course for her since she ended up crashing into the sea :D

I had no plans of joining her so I spent the day walking on the shore where I saw a lot of cool things.

On our way back we saw rows of coconut shells drying out in the sun.  I always see this in the provinces but just recently found out that it was for making copra.

It was almost dark when we got back to the resort.  It was really quiet since we were the only guests at that time which was nice and a bit freaky.  Freaky since I kept thinking of aswangs.  LOL.  Just kidding on the aswang of course.

I watched the fishermen bring in their catch that night.  I found it really strange that they only caught one kind of fish. 

The nets were filled with these tiny blue fish.  Pretty amazing, huh? :)
