Happy 2013!

Yes, I am 23 days late but just wanted to greet everyone a happy new year.  I wish that your year is off to a good start and that 2013 will bring you many wonderful things!  May we all have an abundant supply of happiness, good health, love and of course luck... just like this adorable grandma and her lovely white kitty!

Here is a brief description that I got from the site:

"12 years ago, Miyoko Ihara has started to take photographs of her grandmother, Misao.  Miyoko wanted to leave a living proof of her.

One day, her grandmother found a odd-eyed kitten in the shed.

She named the cat "Fukumaru" in hope that "God of fuku(good fortune) comes and everything will be smoothed over like maru(circle)".

Even thought she is 87 years old, she still go out into the fields everyday, and Fukumaru always accompany her."

You can check out more of the photos here.  I love all the photos!  Hope to get the book someday :)

Things that make me happy

Here is another random list (with photos) of the things that make me happy.  Hope to add a lot more things to this list this 2013.
Awesome family vacation
Last year I was able to go back to Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar - but this time with my mom and siblings :)  We had a great time looking at all the old houses and just hanging out.  Hope to have more family vacations this year.
Best potato skins ever!!!
Potato skins at Meat Plus in Subic!  Too bad that the place is 3 hours away :(  We have to go back soon!
Happy Kumo
Happy Kumo high on catnip.  See that catnip tub on the right?  He managed to open the lid and empty all the contents on the floor.  Naughty cat :D
Finding secret messages
I randomly picked up and opened this book during one of our library visits to Bataan. Inside I found this very touching note
"Matthew, I love you with all my heart.  I think about you all the time.  I miss you my boy.
God bless. your dad Rafael" <3
I think the book wanted me to read the note :)
Meeting Stormtroopers!
My good friend Jovan invited me to face paint at the hospital Christmas party where I met a lot of wonderful people and stormtroopers!

And lastly, checking out the stuff at Got briefcases.  Haha!

This is it for now.  Happy weekend, folks! :)
