I've been seeing a lot of creative cat photos lately.  I am particularly fond of the cat selfie pics :D  You know, when it seems as if the cat was the one who took the selfie :D  Here are some really cool samples I saw on tumblr.

My boys

I'm getting a lot of comments on how big Kumo has grown...

But our white boy still has a lot of growing to do to be as big as Nuggie :D

Sometimes i think that Nuggie is a normal sized cat.  He doesn't look so big in photos because he has a small face and thin legs :D  A friend once commented she has never seen a more pear shaped cat than Nug!  The famous online cats like Shironeko and Maru have big faces, paws and fluffy bodies :D

And this funny cat meme I saw on facebook!  He's so big and fluffy!  I guess like people, cats have different body types too.  The only difference is how cute they look when they are fat :D  Wish it was the same for us (lol).

He's wild!

I use the word 'wild' a lot to describe Kumo because he really is wild!  Sometimes it seems as if this white cat has gone crazy... unlike his big brother, Nuggie who is very predictable and so behaved!  But I am not complaining.  I guess I just find it funny how each cat is different and has his own personality purrsonality.

When we got Kumo we got a bit worried that he might be deaf.  He didn't respond to calls and other sounds we made to get his attention.  It is still the same now but I did discover some things that he responds to right away - greenies and grass!  He goes really crazy when I'd shake a pack of greenies or dangle a blade of grass close to him.  With Nugget it is the opposite!  Just meow and he's there :D

This afternoon I found Kumo on the balcony.  It had just finished raining and there he was licking the floor and sitting on the water puddles.  Not sure why this white cat loves resting his tail on the wet floor!  That is something that Nugget (and most cats) hate!  The funny (and a bit frustrating) part for me though is how he also likes to rub his wet tail on my leg! Waah!

Wild Whisker Wednesday

On the other hand, Nugget's whiskers are so different!  Straight and all facing down (except for one stray :D)

Such a serious face!  My grumpy old man Nuggie must be hungry already :D

Catnip addict

 Do your cats like catnip?  Nugget seems unaffected but Kumo LOVES it!

 He always gets really excited when I hold the container since he knows what's inside :)  

A few weeks ago we heard loud crash outside.  It turns out that Kumo climbed on top of the cabinet and knocked out the catnip tub (along with a few things like our plates and a heavy book on Mitchell Guitars!). 

We found the whole tub empty and Kumo rolling endlessly on the spilled catnip!  It was so wild!  I'm not sure if cats overdose on the stuff but i guess it will be a long time until our white baby gets to try it again since we had to sweep the floor and throw everything to calm him down.  I just hope that he doesn't find the silver vine powder I have stashed in the cabinet :P

Blast from the past

My friend sent me this very cute photo of two cats that reminded him of Nugget and Kumo...  In an alternate universe that is :D

I almost died.  They are both so cute!

Kumo was already 3 months old when we adopted him so he wasn't as tiny as the orange kitten in the first pic.  Here's one of the first photos of him finally getting along with big brother Nugget.  Sigh!  Still so tiny :,)

I've been missing my cats a lot.  There is a stupid "no pets" policy here in our new place so the boys are in my mom's flat.  Luckily I just live 5 minutes away so I still get to visit them pretty often...  But I really miss having them around 24/7.  I miss Nug hugs at night and seeing Kumo go crazy - which happens a lot :P

When I go home I try to take a lot of photos so I can post them on my instagram (follow me, Meowbykate :D).  I love going through the album when I think of them.  Also glad that my mom and little sister keep me updated with Nug and Kumo pics on their accounts :D

I am finally taking Kumo to the vet tomorrow to get neutered.  Yes, I know we are a bit late (Kumo turned 2 last month) but as they say, better late than never :D

Anyway, here is a cute (and a bit heartbreaking) photo of a sad faced Kumo.  I took this months ago when we brought him to the vet.  It's dark because we were in the basement parking lot.  Lol, so much drama.

 I really hope things go well tomorrow.

Hello hello!

The cats have been bathing a lot this past month.  It turns out that Kumo has a severe fungal infection.  The vet did explain that cats naturally have fungal flora in their bodies but maybe Kumo has a weaker immune system causing his skin to be more prone to flare ups.  Nugget is unaffected but he is also getting treated because he is most likely the source of the infection.

I is trapped!

I think the infection never went away because we were always focused on Kumo.  He was the only one getting treated before but now Nuggie is also having the medicated baths.  Uh-oh Nuggie!  Poor baby tried to escape this afternoon while we were bathing him :P  Sadly no photos of bathing Kumo because that cat is wild!

Kumo at the Vet

Kumo has a lot of recurring wounds all over his body... and lately it is getting really bad.  We've taken him to 2 vets already yet there is no improvement to his condition.  The skin test results are always normal.  No parasites too.  Could it be a psychological problem that is causing him to over groom?  I really don't know but in the meantime we need to make sure that aside from the wounds that there is nothing wrong with him physically.

This afternoon we took him to our 3rd vet for this year.  We've been there a lot quite often lately that there is no need for them to look at the id checker.  Hopefully third time's the charm and we will finally figure out what is causing the wounds.  The doctor prescribed the same medicated shampoo but we were given a new medicine to try.  We'll be back in 2 weeks as soon as we are done with the antibiotics but we are keeping our paws crossed that things will get better for our baby Kumo.

Since it's a Saturday, I have a special treat for my boys :)

Friskies wet food!  It was my first time to see these variants so I had to let them try.  Kumo ate so much!  He even pawed Nuggie in the face because he wanted more :P

In the mean time the humans had pizza for dinner!
