Hello from my meows

I am not sure how this happened but we now have 8 cats 😅 😂  Please say hello to the following babies:

Here's Kumo of course. Nugget's beloved sidekick. Now at 6 years old, he is now the most senior cat in the house.

Moon was the resident basement parking lot kitty at my mom's place. We rescued her last year when her safety was threatened by the administration.  She is a bit feral but has adjusted well to living with other cats.

Garlic was one of the kitties that we would feed in front of the Mini Stop Convenience store near our place. He is the sweetest and is very adventurous.

Juno (Siamese) and Squid were both adopted from my mom's friend.  These babies are super playful and have the healthiest appetite in the bunch 😅

Marty, named after Family Mart Convenience store where he came from. More about Marty in my next post :)

Mommy cat, Cobi and baby Obi. Both kitties were rescued along with Marty. These 3 cats have been medicated and are doing so much better now 💗  Stay tuned for more cat updates 😅

Sunday Cats

Woke up really early to visit the house with the view.  Must be wonderful to wake up, walk to the balcony and see this!

 On our way home we made a lunch stopover and saw this ginger cutie

 Btw, it's my first time to encounter a Calico having 3 all white kittens!

Goodbye, Kirby

It was very sad last night when we found out that our dear Kirby was run over by a car :(  He was found dead a few meters away from his home.  Kirby is an indoor cat and always has a leash on when outside.  We are still wondering how he was able to go out and explore by himself.

Kirby lived with us for a few months before moving to his forever home.  Though he did not get along with Nuggie, he was very sweet and cuddly.  He loved hugs and always rubbed against our legs :(

We'll see you at the rainbow bridge, Kirby!  Missing you already :(

Like most cats (except Nuggie) Kumo has a thing for boxes. 

His current favorite is this Gato Negro box.  Btw, Gato Negro means Black Cat.

Still laughing while looking at the photo of Nugget's face when I got home from the wedding+vacation.  I was gone for over 10 days so he was probably wondering where I was :D  What a funny kitty!

It was a brown paper bag with a white tail sticking out.

Things that make me happy

Finding random notes.

Saw this sticky note attached to the magazine I was reading while waiting at the dentist.  It was a travel article featuring Naples, Italy.  In the next article the author mentioned that they found a boring mill in the city.  But seriously, I don't think anything will be boring when you are exploring!  :D

My name is Mini

I finally had the chance to meet my fiancé's cat.  Actually, this cutie just wandered into their home one day and decided to stay :)

She's such a pretty kitty too!  She didn't have a name yet so I suggested that we just call her Mini :)  I don't know why but that word just popped in my head when I saw her.

She's super friendly!  Here she is trying to grab my hand :)

I've posted about Beth Olita and her 29 (or more) cats before, but I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about her and her amazing act of generosity.

In this tiny house Beth and her partner, Micque care for 29 (or more) unwanted cats.

and despite having very little financial resources, the cats are well fed, clean and LOVED :)  Unfortunately, the past months have been rough for Beth financially that she can barely afford to feed her cats.  My friend, Grace and I are planning to visit them again this month and would like to ask if anybody would like to donate cat food or cleaning agents such as disinfectant and sponges.  Cash donation is also welcome.  I will be posting a complete report on cash donations with receipts to assure you that everything will be going to Beth's cats :)  For more information on how to donate, you may e-mail me at meowbykate AT gmail . com or leave a note with your e-mail address in the comments section so I can contact you.  Thank you!

Balancing act

Woke up really early today and almost had a heart attack when I saw Kumo walking on the rail of our balcony!  I've never had this problem with Nugget before - for obvious reasons of course :D  Should I do something about it?  We are 7 floors up so I am really worried that he might slip or something :(

I know cats are natural acrobats but...

Not happy

We tried to introduce the white kitty to Nugget yesterday but as you can see in the photo things are still a bit problematic.  I know it will take days/weeks or even months for peace to be restored so we are not pressuring the cats.

In the mean time, little kitten has taken over Nugget's couch!  Can you see him?

Oh there you are :)

Big orange cat is still a bit angry and has set up camp on my messy work desk.  I've never seen him climb this table on his own so I'm guessing that he's really upset.  Poor baby :(
