Do you plan your meals for the week? I do a lot of cooking so I make it a point to organize my schedule and try to think of ways to be more efficient. A huge chunk of my Saturday morning was spent slicing, mixing, mincing. At the end of the day I had jars filled with pesto, minced garlic, crushed ginger with green onions and shredded carrots. I also had about 20 cups of chicken stock and several types of marinated chicken. Yum :)
Seems like a lot of work but it's really worth it since I get our meals prepared faster during the week. For lunch today we had Bibimbap without the rice (we're limiting our carb intake so yup no rice). It was easy to make considering that I had a lot of the stuff needed ready - just had to prep the spinach, sprouts and the fried egg.
Next time I'd like to try freezing herbs and essential juices like lime, lemon and calamansi. Hope I remember! Happy Sunday folks :)

Holy Week Challenge
Hello! Welcome to my bodega room :D Isn't it cozy? Hehe!
And since I'm just staying home this Friday I figured that it's about time that I tidy up!
Kumo loves hiding in these boxes...
but all these things will be neatly packed by Easter. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I keep my focus. Wheee! Wish me luck.

Time to declutter
I have years worth of accumulated junk in my room. Airline tickets, receipts and credit card bills dating back to 2003, unused clothes, toys and many other things that should have been tossed ages ago. I always plan to clean my room but never really get the chance to do an intensive one. I think its mainly because I find it hard to let go of things that I think are important to me. Too many memories attached and almost everything has a sentimental value! This year though I am really trying hard to simplify my life. No more buying of new toys and things that will just gather dust in my room. I will also be diligent in sorting my paper collection (bills, tickets, receipts etc.). In fact, I bought a paper shredder and have almost completed discarding all of it. Yay! I think I spent almost half a day shredding stuff. Haha! I'll be sending my huge bag of paper confetti to the waste market in a couple of weeks for recycling :)
I collected the things that I wanted to discard and joined two of my friends in a garage sale this afternoon. Like me, they are also trying to declutter their homes.
Aside from clothes, we had a really strange collection of knick knacks! Who wants this alien salt shaker?
Decorative dolls in international costumes... not mine but my mom's (?!?) The Korean version was the only one in this batch that was sold! Haha :)
Cute bots!
At the end of the day I made almost p2,000. Not bad considering most of my items were in the p5-20 range :)
Oh, I saw a couple of cute cats too! Me-ow!
