It says gooseberry on the label, but I later found out that gooseberry is different from cape gooseberry (thank you wiki).
Inside the shell is a small round fruit that has a waxy texture. It's hard to describe how it tastes because it has such a unique flavor... It's sweet, tart and sometimes also sour at the same time :D
Empty shells. They remind me of the cocoon collection I had before.
All picked :)
The geese were here and left us some goose berries in our yard!
ReplyDelete@brian - you are so funny :D hahaha!
ReplyDeleteIs it juicy?
ReplyDelete@OhbelChantik- It's like a grape, but a little more compact :) But I guess it depends on the level of ripeness?
ReplyDeleteHad no idea they were different! I've tried a cape gooseberry once and I was told it was a gooseberry. Yay wiki for shedding light on this.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to how it tastes.
ReplyDeletewe used to pick those and much on them on our way to school. they grew everywhere on our backyard and i actually thought they're some sort of weeds...lol. i know, we still ate them anyway.
ReplyDeleteOMG cape gooseberries!!! Aaahh.. I haven't seen them in ages. My aunt makes the best gooseberry tarts! Aaaagghhh.. Anyway, did you like them?
ReplyDeleteHow much does it cost? may online store selling this or at least seeds?
